Nervecell, die Death Trasher aus Dubai kommen endlich mit einem neuen Album an den Start. Nach Ihrem grandiosem Debüt Album "Preaching Venom" auf Lifeforce Records stehen die Herren aus Dubai nun in den Startlöschern mit Ihrem neuen Album welches den Titel "PSYCHOGENOCIDE" trägt welches gemixt und gemastert wurde von Wieslawscy Bros in den Hertz Studios in Warsaw, Poland. Wieslawscy Bros ist u.a. auch für Behemoth, Decapitated und für den Sound von Vader verantwortlich. Das neue Album wir Ende März über Lifeforce Records und Spellbind Records veröffentlicht. SFA kommen im Sommer nach Europa

Die legendäre New York Hatecore-Band SFA wird im Sommer nach Europa kommen. Bestättigt ist die Band bisher für das Sucks'n'Summer Festival in Leisnig. Außerdem sind bisher No Turning Back, Final Prayer, Hitman, Growing Movement und Screwed Up für das Festival, das vom 04.-06. August 2011 stattfinden wird, bestättigt.
Nach ihrer Abschiesshow haben die Stuttgarter Teamkiller noch ein Abschiedsstatement veröffentlicht.
"Nachdem wir alle ein paar Tage gebraucht haben um das Abschiedskonzert ein wenig sacken zu
lassen, gibt es im Endeffekt nur eines zu sagen: Vielen Dank für die
unvergessliche Show und die Unterstützung in den letzten sieben Jahren!
Uns als Band war es wichtig, uns von allen Freunden in unserer Stadt zu
verabschieden. Wir gehen gemeinsam, mit einem guten Gefühl, schönen
Erinnerungen und einer letzten Platte auf die wir alle sehr stolz sind.
Abschließend
planen wir gerade unsere Teamkiller Homepage neu, dort wird es dann
noch einen Videoclip zu einem Song, Live-Videos und Fotos der letzten

THE HAUNTED – beenden Aufnahmen ihres neuen Albums; geben Titel und VÖ-Termin bekannt; bestätigen Wacken 2011 und weitere Festivals!
THE HAUNTED sind endlich mit einem neuen Studioalbum zurück! Nach ihrer Tour mit Slayer in diesem Jahr und der Veröffentlichung der DVD/Live CD „Road Kill“, präsentieren euch THE HAUNTED nun ihr siebtes Album. Der Nachfolger zum 2009er Album „Versus“ trägt den Titel „Unseen“ und erscheint im März 2011 auf Century Media Records.
Kurz vor Weihnachten meldete sich Sänger Peter Dolving mit folgendem Update:
„So, wir haben es geschafft! Wir werden euch bald wieder eine Ladung neuer Musik und Inspiration in die Köpfe schütten. Die neue Scheibe heißt „Unseen“ und wird im März 2011 in den Läden erhältlich sein. Wir waren anderthalb Monate mit Tue Madsen im Antfarm Studio in Dänemark und er hat das Beste aus jedem von uns herausgeholt und einen fantastischen Mix abgeliefert. So, das wär’s erstmal… Merry muthafuckin X-Mas und wir sehen uns in einem unglaublichen Jahr 2011!“

"Walnut Creek, CA’s This Time Next Year is happy to announce that they will enter the studio in early January with producer, and New Found Glory guitarist, Chad Gilbert [A Day To Remember, H20, Fireworks] to record the follow-up to their 2009 release, Road Maps and Heart Attacks.
The studio time will unfortunately conflict with the previously announced tour with Transit and Daytrader. All east coast tour dates for This Time Next Year have officially been cancelled. A message from the band can be seen below:
We’re bummed to have to cancel the upcoming tour with Transit and Daytrader. They are great friends of ours and helped us out a ton with setting up this tour. They will still be doing the tour and Into It. Over It. has been added to several of the dates. They will be really great shows and we hope that you can all still make it out and support our friends.
We hope you all know that we would never cancel a show or tour unless we had a great reason for it. We’ve been writing and demoing for a while now and have been anxious to get into the studio, so when the opportunity to record with Chad presented itself, we couldn’t pass it up. Think Fast Records signen No Turning Back

Think Fast Records vermelden Europas Aushängeschild in Sachen Hardcore No Turning Back als Labelneuzugang. Das neue Album der Holländer "Take control" wird in den USA am 19.04.2010 erscheinen. Think Fast Records schreibt:
"Think Fast! Records is extremely proud to announce the signing of European's reigning hardcore kings, No Turning Back. The band just wrapped up recording their new full length effort, "Take Control" which will see a release on American soil on April 19th.
"I've known Martijn (vocals) for many years and have always admired his inability to slow down" comments Think Fast! co-owner Ryan O'Connor. "He doesn't seem to let anything or anyone keep his band from moving on and you have to respect that. We're very much looking forward to working with Martijn and the rest of the guys for the U.S. release of their new album."
Having previously released a slew of noteworthy material, including two albums under the belt of Bridge 9, No Turning Back is no stranger to the american hardcore/punk scene. The band has also logged countless miles of tour history, including support for modern contemporaries and legends alike - Sick Of It All, Hatebreed, Ignite, Gorilla Biscuits, Terror, and Bad Brains to name a few. Territory has never been hard to cover either. Last year alone, No Turning Back became one of the first ever European hardcore bands to hit exotic locations like China, Costa Rica, New Zealand and even South Africa.
Describing the album and meaning behind the title, vocalist Martijn Van Den Heuvel notes: "The record really is about us taking control not only as a band but also as individuals. This last year we had band members starting a van rental company for bands, a booking agency and even a workshop for custom built drum kits. The music and the lifestyle have become absorbed in our day to day lives. We feel Take Control is us documenting growing up and becoming adults while still remaining true to the ideals we had as 15 year old kids playing rudimentary music in our parents' garage."
With the release of "Take Control" on limited LP and digital formats, look for the non-stop work ethic to continue to be a driving force behind No Turning Back. Nach 12 Jahren liegt das großartige saarländische Festival Rock am Bach (zumindest vorerst) auf Eis. Das Festival , das 1999 als lokale Veranstaltung mit drei Bands und 150 Besuchern begann, hatte sich in den vergangenen Jahren kontinuierlich weiterentwickelt bis zu einem überregionalen 2-Tages-Festival der härteren Gangart mit tausenden Besuchern und zahlreichen bekannten Größen aus dem Hardcore/Metal/Punk/Rock-Bereich. So traten dort in den vergangenen Jahren u.a. Bands wie Motörhead, Dropkick Murphy, Killswitch Engage, Wizo, Sepultura, Lag Wagon, Life of Agony, Crowbar, Suicidal Tendencies, Samiam, Walls of Jericho, Caliban, Donots, Turbostaat oder Ignite auf. Da ich in den letzten Jahren immer Stammgast war und in den letzten drei Jahren auch DJ auf der Aftershow-Party bedauere ich das Aus für das sympathische Festival sehr. Tausend Dank an Nico und sein Team für ein toll organisiertes Festival mit jeder Menge großartiger Bands und einer fantastischen Atmosphäre. Das Aus für 2011 reisst eine riesen Lücke in die Festival-Landschaft im Südwesten der Republik.

"Wir müssen Euch leider mitteilen, dass 2011 kein Rock am Bach Festival stattfinden wird!
Nach 12 Jahren und jeder Menge vergossenem Herzblut haben wir uns dazu entschlossen, das Rock am Bach Festival ruhen zu lassen. Wir haben allen Widrigkeiten zum Trotz alles versucht, mussten in den letzten Jahren mehrmals umziehen, was jedesmal mit hohen Kosten und immensem organisatorischem Aufwand verbunden war. Doch letztendlich müssen wir erkennen, dass wir im Saarland nicht die Zustimmung (und damit die Besucherzahlen) erreichen konnten, die wir für eine Fortführung des Festivals benötigt hätten. Anders lässt sich leider ein Anteil von 80% der Besucher, die von außerhalb des Saarlandes anreisen, nicht erklären.
Wir möchten daher an dieser Stelle allen danken, die uns all die Jahre die Treue gehalten haben, allen voran die vielen fleißigen Helfer, die unermüdlich im Einsatz waren, der Stadt St.Wendel, die uns in diesen Jahr so toll unterstützt hat und dies auch weiterhin getan hätte, sowie unseren langjährigen Sponsoren und Förderern und natürlich Euch, die unser Festival besucht haben und jetzt mit einem weinenden Auge auf all die schönen und legendären Momente in 12 Jahren Rock am Bach zurückblicken.
Wir können nicht sagen, ob es defintiv das letzte RaB-Festival war, aber wir haben uns erst einmal dazu entschlossen das Projekt auf unbestimmte Zeit auf Eis zu legen. Alles Weitere wird die Zukunft zeigen... "

"As the year 2010 is slowly coming to an end we have yet another great announcement to make: Let it Burn Records has signed the youngest and by far one of the most promising bands in its 10 year history: THE HAVERBROOK DISASTER.
Coming from Karlsruhe, Germany The Haverbrook Disaster has been an “insider tip” among hardcore kids for months now. With their amazing mixture of melodic hardcore and heavy (!) mosh they’re at the very cutting edge of how hardcore music should sound like in 2011. We are very much looking forward to working with an ambitious but at the same time “down-to-earth”-like band.

Mit dem Gastauftritt von Armored Saint/ex-Anthrax Ausnahmensänger John Bush beim Song „Middleville“ stecken LONG DISTANCE CALLING ihre musikalischen Grenzen noch ein wenig weiter. Allerdings sollte John Bush nicht alleine der Grund sein aus dem man LONG DISTANCE CALLING genauer Gehör schenkt. In Zeiten von Überproduktion und Kompression zugunsten eines aufgepumpten Sounds haben sich LONG DISTANCE CALLING bewusst für eine organische Produktion entschieden, die es der Musik erlaubt zu atmen. Das audiophile Quintett suchte deshalb die Horus Studios in Hannover auf wo schon Bands wie Celtic Frost, Donots, Paradise Lost, Eloy, Scorpions, Rolling Stones und viele mehr einige ihrer wichtigsten Platten produziert haben. „Long Distance Calling“ wurde mit Benjamin Schäfer aufgenommen, der bereits mit so unterschiedlichen Bands wie Celtic Frost und Subway To Sally gearbeitet hat. Die für kommenden Januar geplante Europa-Tour wurde leider abgesagt. Die Band schreibt dazu:
"So as some of you may have heard already, our January European/UK tour has been cancelled. We could not be anymore bummed out on the situation, and believe us, we had nothing to do with the tour being cancelled. We were looking forward so much to coming across seas and playing these shows, but unfortunately sometimes things just happen that are out of our control.

Antillectual - Besetzungswechsel am Bass

Die niederländische Punk/Hardcore-Band Antillectual vermeldet den Ausstieg von Basser Tom und den Neuzugang von Tim van Tol . Die Band sagt:
"Nope, Tom is not going to play acoustic or solo. Tom has decided to quit playing bass with us. As much as we regret his decision, we support him making it. After more than a year of fruitful cooperation, including recording a new album, Tom has decided to focus on other things. In Tom's words:
Quitting something you love is never easy, so neither is this. For the last 15 or 16 months I have been a part of this touring machine and I will be a part of this until early February. In these months we recorded an album, did awesome tours to lots of countries that I haven't played or even been before, played a quickie at Groezrock, went on tour with the great guys in High Five Drive and played with some of my favorite bands of all time. Besides that, I was able to play with some of the best musicians and best guys I know. I had a great time in this band, but the time has come for me to pull the plug. Putting my heart and head into this band is something I really loved, but I can't find the time anymore to do it the upcoming year. Other things in my life ask more time than I have and that means I have to choose between different things. Unfortunately, a lot of things couldn't continue without me, but the band can! And will! I'm happy that Riekus and Willem will continue this band and have already found another great guy to take over my duties. The last thing I wanted, was to give Antillectual a hard time, but it seems that touring a lot to promote the new album will be easier than ever!
And for me? I will focus on the things that need to be done and probably pick up a guitar when I have time again. For now I would like to thank Riekus and Willem for giving me the opportunity to play in this band. Also thanks to Etjen and Thomas for helping out in so many ways. Although it was a short time, it has been a blast!

Since we seem to be able to change our line up more often than Lady Gaga changes outfits, we haven't given up hope and we will continue without Tom. For those of you that already knew of Tom's departure, we also have news: a guy named Tim will take Tom's place. Some of you may know Tim better as Tim van Tol. We have played together with Tim in the past and come across his name throughout Europe and even the USA. When we coincidentally got in touch with him we talked about Tom's departure and he seemed willing to take his spot. Riekus and I are very happy to welcome Tim to our bass player-guzzling machine called Antillectual and we are looking forward to play shows with this gifted musician. Tim will of course continue his solo work next to playing bass for us.
Tom's last show with us will be at the ACU, Utrecht on February 4. Other bands playing: Tim van Tol (the coincidence!) and more to be confirmed ... "

Dead Kennedys äußern sich auch mal wieder zu Jello Biafra

In einem Facebook Blog haben sich die verbliebenen Dead Kennedy Mitglieder mal wieder zu ihrem Ex-Sänger Jello Biafra und dessen Label Alternative Tentacles Records geäußert. Grund ist ein kritisches Interview von Scott Kelly von Neurosis.
"The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie -- deliberate, contrived and dishonest, but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic. Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.” - JFK
Unfortunately the Dead Kennedys’ Facebook page has recently been invaded by a small group of followers (some with fake accounts) posting false information about Klaus Flouride, D. H. Peligro and myself. As you can imagine, it feels really horrible when people spread lies about you. So to let folks know what actually happened, here again is what our lead singer did to us.
Jello Biafra is a very talented person, we collaborated on great music together and he is exceptionally outspoken, but talent and outspokenness do not indicate character. To put it simply, he betrayed Klaus, D. H. and myself, and what Dead Kennedys stand for-- behind our backs he skimmed royalties and stole song writing credit from us, not the other way around.
When his greed was ultimately proven, Biafra used his position and charisma to spread lies and malicious myths about us to cover up and distract from his own betrayal of us and Dead Kennedys. And we still hear those lies being thoughtlessly spread by people who have no first hand knowledge of the situation. The experience was one of the worst things for Klaus, D. H. and I to have to go through. And it was devastating to learn that the ideals that Biafra spoke of meant nothing to him, they are just a facade, underneath he only looks out for himself.
So now that the band Neurosis finally has the rights back to their record which was on Alternative Tentacles, "Enemy of the Sun," they can speak out about how Biafra stole from them just like he stole from East Bay Ray, Klaus Flouride and D. H. Peligro.
Fortunately, Dead Kennedys music is larger than any one personality and we hope that our music and basic message lives on - don't be a lemming, think for yourself. Onward."
Scott Kelly von Neurosis äußert sich sehr kritisch zu Alternative Tentacles Records

Scott Kelly von Neurosis hat sich in einem Interview mit dem Hellbound Magazine im Zuge der Wiederveröffentlichung ihres Meisterwerks "Enemy of the sun" sehr negativ über Alternative Tentacles Records und dessen Betreiber Jello Biafra geäußert.
"Q: What happened with AT?
Alternative Tentacles ripped us off. That’s the simple version. They cooked the books and we called them on it. They accused us of all sorts of things and being greedy. And it was only about $3000!
It was basically an honor thing. There was no honor there. I don’t know what to say about it except that I was proud to be on the label when they approached us to do us records. We held them in high regard and it couldn’t be further from that now.
Q: Label head Jello Biafra (former singer of the Dead Kennedys) also lost a lawsuit filed by his former band mates essentially claiming he’d been withholding royalties on the back catalog.
They won in court because they were correct. If he would rip us off for a small amount of money then he’d go after them for huge amount of money. When is the last time he had to punch a clock or worry about rent? He doesn’t. Who lives in a house on the hill? He does. I live in a trailer in the woods. I have a day job and always have. What he did to his fellow band mates is all there in black and white.
Again, it’s all about ownership. I’m not unhappy with the original recording. It’s an intense record and was an intense session. I was going through some real emotional struggles at the time. I don’t know what the deal was but some of the songs and lyrics were tough. All of these experiences were cathartic."
No Trigger - Neue EP auf Mightier than Sword Records

Die melodic Hardcore/Punk Band No Trigger aus Oxford, Massachusetts, ist ja seit diesem Jahr wieder in Originalbesetzung zusammen. Am 14.12.2010 erscheint jetzt auf Mightier than Sword Records eine neue 2-Song-7" mit dem Titel "Be honest". Außerdem ist die Band für das Groezrock Festival im kommenden Jahr bestättigt worden. Ob weitere Shows in Europa hinzukommen werden, ist noch nicht bekannt.

Lange hat man nichts mehr von Most Precious Blood gehört. Sechs Jahre sind seit dem letzten Album "Merciless" vergangenen, da kündigen Bullet Teeth Records wie aus dem Nichts ein neues Album der Band an. "Do not resuscitate" soll am 01.02.2011 auf Bullet Tooth Records erscheinen, die auch Bands wie First Blood, Awaken Demons oder Kid Liberty in ihren Reihen haben.
